This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of health and safety management principles in the construction industry. It covers essential topics such as health and safety management systems, hazard and risk assessment, policy development, and the application of international standards like ISO 9001 in construction safety. Students will also learn about risk control measures, accident investigation and reporting, the role of health and safety committees, site housekeeping, ergonomics in construction, and the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). By the end of the course, students will be equipped to develop and implement project-specific health and safety plans, ensuring safer construction environments and compliance with industry standards.
