The course, MCM 208 is designed to give students an insight into the content of the course and the materials they will need to be familiar with for an adequate understanding of the subject matter. And most importantly, build the fundamental skills of a professional television screenwriter.
In this course, students are introduced to the pilot format, covering style and content as well as the principles behind network needs and how pilots are chosen across broadcast, cable, and digital platforms. Students write a series outline and the first act of an original pilot.
