At the end of this course, students should be able to: explain how the embryo is form from the zygote; discuss the role of cleavage and gastrulation in animal development; demonstrate understanding of embryology and significance of prenatal diagnostic methods; describe structural features of primordia in tissue and organs at different developmental stages; define risk periods in histo- and organogenesis; and analyse the most often observed developmental anomalies.
