Introduction
This course is design to teach the students professional filmmaking processes and techniques through Lecture, demonstration, and completed class projects (i.e., a completed short Drama, film & documentary). In this course, students will learn the skills necessary to work on a professional feature length film, commercial, documentary, or other video productions.
Much emphasis will be on feature films and documentaries from writing, producing, directing and editing standpoint.
Learning outcomes
It is expected that at the end of this course students who have gone through this course would be able to:
1.Learn proficiency in
filming techniques and terms.
2.Work in a
professional manner.
3.Students working in
groups will learn to work in a collaborative manner.
4.Show their
proficiency in filmmaking through completion of projects.
5.Know the production
stages of; pre-production, production, and post-production.
6.Know the production
techniques from writing, producing, directing and editing standpoint.
7.Learn professional
collaboration practices by working with fellow students.
8.Learn professional
film set standards and practices.
